Snow Day card

The Snow Day stamp set in the Holiday mini catalog from Stampin'Up! is a fun stamp set!  I was playing around with it this past weekend.  First I stamped a blue snowman on Whisper White card stock, the Top Note die was perfect for this, then I started stamping his buttons and face, but I got a little line on his forehead!  I hate that.  So I thought I would fix it by stamping his hat down lower, but that just made it all worse!  I am not showing off that card right now, but I will show you this one.

Snow Day stamp sets, Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White, Whisper White Craft Ink, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1/8" Circle Punch, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

TIP:  When I used the Craft Ink I loved the way the snowman looked, but then I tried to stamp Classic ink for the face, scarf and buttons.  It didn't work!!!  So sad, just looked like a blurred smear.  So I used paper to cover up my mistakes, and I think they worked well.  I stamped and cut out the hat and scarf, then used the paper punch for the little black dots for buttons and eyes.  Every snowman should have a carrot nose, so I used a little Pumpkin Pie card stock.  And this snowman will not melt!
